Itinerary : 4 DAYS MARRAKECH DESERT TOUR TO MERZOUGA

Pickup at about 8:00 am, at the Hotel or Riad where you are staying in Marrakech. Departure heading south from Marrakech and the High Atlas, crossing the mountain pass of Tizi N Tichka, with stops to enjoy the wonderful panoramic views and take photos. Visit to the women's cooperative of Argan Oil, where we will discover the artisanal manufacturing process, and they will explain the countless properties of Argan for the human body. From there, we continue south, taking a 6 km detour that leads to the fortified village of Aït Benhaddou. We will have time to have lunch and visit its spectacular Kasbah, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1989. This unique setting has been the location for many international films, such as Gladiator, the Jewel of the Nile, or Sahara, featuring Penelope Cruz, etc. After the visit, we will continue the journey towards Ouarzazate, a city known as the great gate to the desert, which served as one of the stopping points for the caravans linking Marrakech with Timbuktu, highlighted by the Kasbah of Taourirt (The old town of Ouarzazate). From there, we proceed to the palm grove of Skoura, and the Valley of Roses, where you will enjoy the natural contrast of the valleys, mountains, and the scent of their flowers. In the afternoon, we will arrive at the Dades Valley. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel.

After breakfast, we will set off on a road full of adobe Kasbahs, each different from the last. After several stops, we will arrive at one of the most visited and touristy places in Morocco, the impressive, spectacular, and striking "Todra Gorges," which have formed a gorge with vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty. Without a doubt, it is a climber's paradise and a unique place. Lunch will be on site, and then we will continue the journey towards the desert, until reaching the impressive Dunes of Merzouga "Erg Chebbi," where we will taste our traditional hospitality tea. After a short rest, we will depart on a caravan of dromedaries, which after an hour's ride, will lead us to the Haimas camp. Halfway there, we will stop to enjoy a magical sunset over a desert dune. Upon arriving at the camp, we will have the opportunity to climb the Great Dune or the small dunes near the camp, where you can watch the shooting stars and make wishes. After dinner in a magical setting, we will spend the night in the Haimas, in the heart of the desert. You will experience an unforgettable night.

We will wake up early, and if the clouds allow, we may have the chance to witness the beautiful spectacle of sunrise over a sea of sands. We will mount the dromedaries again back to the Lodge to take a shower and have a good breakfast. Then, we will head towards Rissani, the first imperial city of Morocco, to visit its legendary market and continue towards Tazzarine through Alnif, in the heart of the Maider basin. We will continue our journey towards the wonderful Draâ Valley, the richest in date production, with its millions of palm trees. After a panoramic visit of the valley, we will cross the Anti Atlas and finally arrive at Ouarzazate. Dinner and accommodation in a Riad.

After breakfast and a shower, return to Marrakech via a track where you will have the opportunity to appreciate the tranquility of the mountains inhabited by Berber nomads. We explore a new sense of daily life and then continue via the wonderful High Atlas mountains. Arrival in Marrakech at 4 pm and transfer to your hotel or airport, marking the end of the trip.
