The journey continues to Midelt, located between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. After a lunch break, we will cross mountain scenery and reach the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves, oases and traditional villages. We will stop at a panoramic viewpoint before continuing towards the desert.

In the afternoon, we will arrive in Merzouga near the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Depending on your booking option, you may enjoy a camel ride at sunset or transfer to the desert camp by 4×4. Enjoy the sunset, a traditional dinner and an evening beneath the star-filled Sahara sky.

Accommodation: desert camp. Meals: dinner.

Day 2: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Start early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we will leave Merzouga and travel towards Erfoud, known for its fossils and desert landscapes. Along the way, you will see the scenery gradually change from Saharan sands to oases and rocky inland terrain.

We will continue to the Todra Gorges, one of the most impressive natural sights in southern Morocco. Towering rock walls form a narrow canyon through which a river flows. The surrounding area is ideal for a walk, photographs and a glimpse of life in the nearby mountain villages.

After visiting the gorges, we will continue to the Dades Valley, a region known for its rock formations, kasbahs and cultivated valleys. We can stop at scenic viewpoints depending on the time available. At the end of the day, we will reach your accommodation and enjoy a relaxing evening in this peaceful region.

Accommodation: hotel or riad in the Dades Valley. Meals: breakfast and dinner, depending on the booked option.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou

We will continue to Ouarzazate, a city connected with historic trade routes and known for its film studios and architectural heritage. If time allows, you can discover some of its points of interest before we continue to Ait Ben Haddou.

We will visit the historic ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its earthen houses, narrow lanes and traditional towers form one of Morocco’s best-known architectural ensembles. You will have time to explore the site and enjoy views from its elevated areas. Afterwards, we will transfer to your accommodation in Ait Ben Haddou or the Ouarzazate area.
