Itinerary : 3 days Morocco desert tour from Ouarzazate
We pick you up early in the morning from your Ouarzazate hotel or airport. Then we visit Ouarzazate. Visit Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Studio, where great movies were shot. Drive southeast to palm-grove-lined Amridil Kasbah in Skoura. We continue to Rose valley. In May, residents sell rose fragrances, water, oil, and cosmetics at a Rose Festival. We next travel through the Dades valley and stop to see the gorges. We proceed to Todra Gorges, where the Todra river has built a magnificent canyon through the mountains with red cliffs. Lunchtime free. Wander the gorges and enjoy the scenery.
Merzouga Sahara Desert awaits us in the afternoon. Where you ride camels through the dusty desert. A towering dune will be stopped for a spectacular sunset. Continue to the desert luxury tent to dance around the campfire to Berber drum music under the skies. Camp dinner and overnight.
To see the desert dawn, wake up early. Break for breakfast. Camels bring you back to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. The day is spent exploring Merzouga. The area contains amazing sand dunes, natural lakes, mines, fossils, and oases. Which are great for outdoor activities.
We start our trip in Merzouga by driving off-road to an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we visit the nomads in their handwoven tent. Drink Berber tea and learn about their lifestyle. Next stop: Khamlia village, where Gnaoua music and dance await. Its residents are from Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free lunch at a restaurant.
We then go into a palm grove. Drive a few kilometers to witness Merzouga's wild lake, commonly known as flamingo lake. Dinner and bedtime In a hotel.
After breakfast on the last day of the tour, we go to the town of Rissani, which is known for its big ethnic souk. The trip continues through Alnif and along the Draa valley all the way to Ouarzazate. Time to eat lunch. After that, we drive to Ait Ben Haddou to see the famous Kasbah.
A protected town that UNESCO has put on its list of World Heritage Sites. Also, the Kasbah has been in many movies, such as Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and many more. As well as TV shows like "Game of Thrones."
We finally reach Marrakech by driving through Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to your Marrakech hotel.
