11-day tour itinerary

Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Ouarzazate

Depart from Agadir towards Taroudant, a town known for its historic walls, markets and traditional streets. If time allows, walk through the centre and observe everyday local life before continuing inland.

The route continues through rural and mountainous scenery towards Ouarzazate, a city known for its kasbahs and film history. On arrival, transfer to your accommodation and enjoy free time to relax. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

After breakfast, discover some of Ouarzazate before continuing to Ait Ben Haddou. This historic settlement of earthen buildings is known for its traditional architecture and location beside old trading routes. Take time to walk through its narrow lanes and enjoy views of the surrounding landscape.

After the visit, continue towards Dades Valley through villages, dry terrain and cultivated areas. Scenic stops may be made when the schedule permits. Arrive at your accommodation and spend the night in Dades Valley.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

In the morning, leave Dades Valley and head towards Todra Gorges, known for their high rock walls and dramatic natural scenery. Enjoy a walk in the area and take photographs before continuing towards southeastern Morocco.

The journey continues to Merzouga, near the Erg Chebbi dunes. On arrival, you will have time to explore the surroundings and enjoy the desert atmosphere. Overnight in Merzouga at the accommodation confirmed for your booking.

Day 4: Discover the Merzouga Desert

Spend the day discovering the Merzouga region and the Erg Chebbi dunes. Admire the landscape from different viewpoints and learn about life in this part of the Sahara. Depending on your interests, a visit to Khamlia or nearby settlements may be arranged if confirmed in advance.

The day allows time to relax, enjoy the surroundings and take part in optional activities if available. Vehicle excursions on desert tracks and other experiences are not included unless expressly confirmed. Second overnight in Merzouga.

Day 5: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Agdz

After breakfast, leave Merzouga and travel towards the Draa Valley. Along the route, desert scenery gives way to traditional villages, oases and palm groves. The journey reveals another side of southern Morocco and its changing landscapes.

Stops may be made for breaks and scenic views depending on the available time. Arrive in Agdz, in the Draa Valley region, and transfer to your accommodation. An early departure is recommended for a more comfortable journey. Overnight in Agdz.

Day 6: Agdz – Marrakech

After breakfast, depart Agdz for Marrakech. The route crosses mountain scenery and southern towns before continuing towards the High Atlas region. Breaks can be arranged along the way depending on the schedule and road conditions.

Day 7: Explore Marrakech

Enjoy a day discovering Marrakech, its historic medina, traditional markets and lively squares. Explore the souks, discover craft workshops and admire the architecture of the old streets. The city also offers many opportunities to try Moroccan cuisine.

Depending on your interests, visit monuments, gardens or museums, or spend more time walking through the medina. Jemaa el-Fnaa square is often particularly lively in the late afternoon. Entrance fees and guided visits should be confirmed separately unless listed in your booking. Second overnight in Marrakech.

Day 8: Marrakech – Essaouira

After breakfast, leave Marrakech for Essaouira, a coastal city known for its ramparts, harbour and historic medina. The journey offers a change of scenery after the mountain and desert regions visited earlier.

On arrival, explore the medina, walk along the shopping streets and visit the harbour if time allows. Essaouira is known for its maritime atmosphere, historic architecture and artisan workshops. Overnight in Essaouira.

Day 9: Discover Essaouira

Spend the day exploring Essaouira at a relaxed pace. Walk through the medina, follow the historic ramparts and visit the harbour, where much of the local fishing activity takes place. The streets bring together craft shops, small cafés and places to observe everyday city life.

You will also have time to discover local food or walk near the sea. The schedule is flexible and allows you to enjoy the city without adding a long transfer. Second overnight in Essaouira.

Day 10: Essaouira and the Surrounding Area

Enjoy an extra day in Essaouira to discover places you may have missed the day before. Spend more time in the medina, explore artisan workshops, admire the ramparts or relax at one of the city’s cafés.

If you would like to take an excursion outside the centre, check the available options and transport arrangements in advance. Additional excursions are not automatically included in the tour. This day offers a relaxed pace before returning to Agadir. Third overnight in Essaouira.
