6 Days from Casablanca to Marrakech

On the first day of our 6 Days from Casablanca to Marrakech, we will depart after a satisfying breakfast and head towards Fez. Along the way, we will make a stop in the charming city of Meknes, nestled amidst the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains.

In Meknes, we will explore various points of interest, including the renowned Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a delightful lunch in Meknes, we will continue our journey towards Fez. Upon arrival in Fez, we will check into our accommodation, where you will have a delicious dinner and a comfortable night's rest.

After a hearty breakfast, we will embark on a full day dedicated to exploring the enchanting city of Fes. This remarkable city is divided into three distinct zones: Fez el-Bali, the old part; Fes el-Jdid, the modern and old Medina; and the French side.

As we navigate through the maze-like streets, you will be captivated by the medieval ambiance and grandeur of the city. There are numerous noteworthy sites to visit, including the Mellah, the Jewish Quarter, the Plaza of the dyers, Fes el-Bali, the medieval medina, Fes el-Jdid, the new medina, and the Andalusian Mosque, among others.

After a fulfilling day of sightseeing, we will retreat to a traditional riad, where you will indulge in a delectable dinner and spend the night in comfort and tranquility.

After a delightful breakfast, we will embark on the next leg of our 6 Days from Casablanca to Marrakech, heading towards the captivating desert of Merzouga. Along the way, we will make several stops at fascinating sites.

Our first stop will be Ifrane, a charming town in the Middle Atlas region known for its distinct European architecture and colder climate. From there, we will proceed to Azrou, where you will have the opportunity to visit a cedar forest, home to ancient trees and friendly monkeys. The village is renowned for its cedar-related cottage industry, and we will explore its sights during a city tour.

Continuing our journey, we will reach Midelt, situated between the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas mountains. We will pause here for lunch before continuing to the picturesque Ziz Valley. Marvel at the stunning red gorges, lush oases, and traditional adobe kasbahs that dot the landscape.

In the afternoon, we will arrive in Merzouga, where you can settle into our comfortable auberge and gather your belongings for an extraordinary desert experience. Depending on our timing, we will enjoy a refreshing tea and have some rest before our camel trek. Prepare for an exhilarating adventure as we ride camels into the heart of Erg Chebbi, immersing ourselves in the breathtaking colors of the desert as we approach the campsite.

Upon reaching the camp, you will be treated to a delicious Moroccan dinner and then indulge in a night filled with live music, drumming, and storytelling around a cozy campfire under the mesmerizing starry sky. It will be an unforgettable experience.

The following morning, you will have the opportunity to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the desert. At midday, we will visit a nomad family, where you can immerse yourself in their culture and way of life. Enjoy a delightful meal prepared under the shade of a tree, and witness the traditional process of making Berber pizza, which you will have the pleasure of tasting.

After lunch, take some time to relax and rejuvenate. In the afternoon, we will embark on a desert excursion in a 4x4 vehicle. Explore an oasis nestled in the desert, visit the unique town of Khamlia, known as the village of dark-skinned people, and discover the MeFes mines. Along the way, you will have the chance to encounter Berber nomads living on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, providing insight into their nomadic lifestyle.

As the day comes to an end, return to the camp, where you will be treated to a delicious dinner. Enjoy another evening of music, laughter, and cultural experiences around the campfire before retiring to your comfortable Berber tent for the night.

In the morning, we will enjoy on a camel trek back to the riad, where you will have the opportunity to freshen up with a refreshing shower. Our journey will then continue to Rissani, where we will witness a bustling market that attracts numerous merchants. Here, you will have the chance to explore and browse through a wide variety of items such as handicrafts, carpets, animals, and food.

After lunch, we will resume our trip and make our way to the picturesque Draa Valley. Along the way, we will pause to capture the beauty of the surrounding nature and capture memorable photographs of these breathtaking landscapes. Our next destination is Ouarzazate, where we will arrive at our accommodation for the evening. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a comfortable night's sleep, preparing for the adventures that await us on the following day.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, our first stop will be at the impressive Kasbah of Taourirt, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient fortress is renowned for its magnificent towers and fortified walls, showcasing a unique blend of Islamic and Jewish influences.

Next, we will proceed to the famous fortified city of Ait Ben Haddou, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic landmark has served as a backdrop for numerous renowned films, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and The Mummy. You will have the opportunity to explore this exceptionally well-preserved Kasbah, which was strategically designed to protect houses, crops, and palm groves.

Continuing our journey, we will visit the Kasbah of Telouet, located in the charming village of Telouet. This historical site once served as a crucial passageway between the High Atlas Mountains and Marrakech. Although it shows signs of deterioration, the Kasbah possesses a captivating charm.

As we make our way through the stunning High Atlas Mountains, we will make several stops to appreciate the breathtaking scenery, capturing memorable photographs and enjoying the fresh mountain air. Finally, we will arrive in Marrakech and accompany you to your accommodation, marking the end of our remarkable 6 Days from Casablanca to Marrakech.
